I am not associated with GitHub, and this is not an official page. I just wanted to share the diagrams I made to help myself understand the new pricing model, in case they are helpful to others as well.

The output is often the biggest cost factor, which is why the sheet focuses on that.
Different task types map to different model tiers. Use this guidance to match the work you need with the right level of capability.
This is guidance, not a strict rulebook.
Although it is possible to do the simple tasks with the powerful model,
it is of course not the most cost effective choice.
